Size of Your Joy: Poems - Elise Powers

Powers, Elise: - Elise Powers is a poet with a BA in English Literature and a background in copywriting and editing. Raised across the United States, from Alaska's snowy peaks to Florida's sandy shores, her work is shaped by a lifelong search for home and self. Her debut collection, The Size of Your Joy, explores the complexities of womanhood, the relationships that shape us, and the ways we hold both joy and sorrow in the same breath. With an eye for small but profound details, her poems invite readers to see the extraordinary within the everyday. She lives in Seattle with her husband and daughter, where she spends her days writing, collecting sea glass along rocky Pacific Northwest beaches, and savoring life's tender joys.
