Devotions from Proverbs - Brian J. Rechten

nSolomon's timeless proverbs can at times seem confusing. After all, when the King said, The beginning of wisdom is ... get wisdom, many of us are left scratching our heads saying, Okay, now what? Well, to find solid answers, you couldn't do better than the book you're holding. My friend and colleague Brian has captured the heart and soul of Solomon's proverbs; offering good old fashion biblical shoe-leather for believers walking through this age of post-modern landmines. Devotions from Proverbs is more than a book, it's a lifetime resource. You'll come back to it again and again. Oh yeah! -Ron Walters - Senior VP of Ministry Relations - Salem Media Group When I was asked to consider endorsing Brian's new book, I found myself quickly onboard for the task and here are a few reasons why: not only is he a longtime friend, but he is a man of integrity and wisdom. But where did Brian get the insights and the disciplines that have guided his life? He has gleaned well from the book of Proverbs, and in so doing he has been counseled by the heart and mind of King Solomon himself. In this excellent devotion, Brian writes to us not from the lofty peaks of theology or some remote spiritual retreat - he writes to you and me from the street, the workplace, and right where you and I live. I cannot think of a better way for a man or woman to begin each day than to have a Bible in one hand and this tender devotion in the other. -Pastor Jack Hibbs, Calvary Chapel Chino Hills and Real Radio Host
