Canine Complaints (Hardback) - Louise Devito

nAn energetic pup of three months arrives at Misty Meadows Farm from a rescuer's home in rural Tennessee to begin his life with Mr. Cliff and O'mamma Todd. Pure Pup, his self-assigned name, is changed immediately to Arthur Dogson Todd by Mr. Cliff.n n n nAs Arthur encounters seemingly innocuous social mores of modern society, he's suspicious. His focus becomes perceived surreptitious assaults on the dignity and freedom of naïve beings. Stunningly keen insights fuel outrage and his resolve to fight. Mantras, poems, and comedic word battles encourage his confidence. n n n nThrough therapeutic naps, Arthur elevates his self-image to that of a Dominant Force for the Good of All Beings. In that mindset, he brings the rooster to Court on a Stand-Your-Ground case and assists Mother Nature with the survival of a species.n n n nArthur's stories are replete with wit, wisdom, word play, comebacks, quotable quotes, and vivid, lively images of internal and external battles.n
