Strange Attractors

"Dr. Spencer Brownfield, an elderly, disgraced former professor, believes that for thirty years he has been the sole person standing between New York City and complete cataclysmic collapse via his ''adjustments'' - tiny, Butterfly-Effect-like changes he makes to the city.
