Jungle Janes

At a recent dinner party two bored Army wives challenged their host, Major Ken Hames, that anything he could train men to do, they could do just as well. He took up the challenge and devised an expedition for 12 middle-aged women: a month long trek through Primary Malaysian jungle. This book looks beyond the battles with scorpions, snakes, spiders, and giant hornets and goes further than the harrowing 12 hour treks to question whether the expedition was simply a battle of the sexes, or something far more interesting.
