Betty Crocker Entertaining with Betty

The character of "Betty Crocker" was created by the Washburn-Crosby Company in 1921 to be used in advertising campaigns for food and recipes. Since her first "appearance" in 1936, she has appeared on printed advertisements and product packaging. This cookbook, originally published in 1959 by General Mills, offers classic menus and tips for entertaining. Ready for some Squash Continental? or Pink Azalea Cake? And don't forget-- when the husband is hosting a stag party, the hostess is briefly on hand to welcome his friends after preparing simple, easy-to-serve fare. After all, men like the idea that they are foraging for themselves!
