Awakening, Robert Venditti, Bryan Hitch

Carter Hall is Hawkman, the resurrected winged warrior who's lived a thousand lifetimes. But what happens when one of his past lives comes knocking on his door? Reincarnated across both time and space for thousands of years, Carter Hall has used the mysterious Nth metal to fight evil for lifetime after lifetime. Now, with Carter in the role of the modern-day superhero Hawkman, an ancient prophecy might finally lead him to uncover the true purpose of his immortality. But to solve the greatest mystery of his lives, Hawkman must race around the globe and beyond, revisiting his former homes--Dinosaur Island, the pyramids of Egypt, the planet Thanagar and more--all while trailed by the Deathbringers. They are every bit as dangerous as their name suggests, so if they catch up to Carter, the chain of reincarnation could stop here! Writer Robert Venditti ( Green Lantern ) joins artist Bryan Hitch ( Planetary, The Authority ) in an adventure that flies out of Dark Nights: Metal into the modern world in Hawkman: Awakening, collecting issues #1-6 of the thrilling new ongoing series.
