Jim Avignon, cartoon poet, speed painter and performance genius, regards himself as a modern storyteller. His illustrations express the complex relationships of our times by the simplest of means. Loving, personal, direct, playful, perfectly observant and a little crazy, Avignon crafts a visual critique of society, exposing everyday absurdities from business to love with an apt, sympathetic bite.

The third issue of Attack Delay, a personal magazine in book format, presents current highlights by this hero of modern multitasking in his unmistakable Technicolor cartoon style. In addition to Avignon's own work, "You can't always want what you get" features pages done by guest artists including DJ Kid Koala and musician Angie Reed.
